| Part F: Ventilation |
| F1. Means
Of Ventilation All buildings which will be occupied have
to be adequately ventilated. Ventilation may be as simple as opening
windows or quite sophisticated ducts and fans. As buildings achieve
higher standards of thermal insulation and draught proofing it becomes
more important to remove air and moisture from inside rooms, particularly
kitchens and bathrooms. To combat condensation, background ventilation
is necessary (trickle vents). |

| F2. Condensation
In Roofs Increased standards in insulation and the use of
modern lightweight building materials have an unfortunate side effect.
They create a tendency for condensation to form, particularly under
roof coverings. Condensation can literally be carried away by incorporating
special vents in the roof itself. |
